
Therapeutic Approach
My role as a therapist begins with building a partnership with you in strengthening the natural resiliency you already have. Through this partnership, we then find solutions, recultivate hope, and overcome difficult life experiences. I offer a therapeutic environment that is compassionate, while still goal oriented. Each session has direction and is intended to keep you moving towards the life you envision for yourself.
I utilize an holistic, integrative approach, which means that I view your unique needs from a whole person perspective; incorporating mind, body, and existential purpose. This also means that I practice various techniques that are proven effective through research to manage mental health symptoms.
You can expect our work together to embrace the understanding of social justice, generational and systemic trauma, the mind-body connection, and finding meaning. Our sessions may include making connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, unpacking past experiences, practicing awareness of your breath and body, and developing tangible, real life tools to navigate the stressors of your day-to-day life.
